New types of daily Objectives have been added to the game, too.įallout Shelter's last update - Update 1.6, released in July - introduced Quests for the first time, as well as a PC version that can be played from Bethesda's own launcher. Once met for the first time, they'll return from time to time and hand out Caps and Nuka-Cola Quantum, which can now be spent to skip Quests as well as speed them up.Īs well as the tease of more Special Events and Holiday Quests in the future, the update also adds Weekly Quests that refresh every Friday, and a heap of regular Quests to get stuck into. I have Fallout 4 on my Steam wishlist but if Bethesda is so bad at customer service, it makes me wonder if I should ever buy it.Fallout Shelter has been given a Nuka World-themed update ahead of next week's Fallout 4 expansion of the same name.Īll players will have access to the game's very first 'Special Event' Quest, which introduces Nuka World mascots Bottle and Cappy.

Whilst it appears that Fallout Shelter is just a small game used as an enticement, to encourage people to want to try Fallout 4, it is nonetheless atrocious that Bethesda would act in such a cavalier manner. Since it appears that a major problem of the game is people losing their Vaults (which can mean the loss of hundreds of hours of gameplay, and of any money spent on the game), I find it incredible that Bethesda does not warn people about this major defect and tell them to manually back-up their saved game files (and how to do it). "My save has been wiped for the second time." Including two people who have lost their Vaults twice: On Bethesda's community forum there is a page entitled "PC Support for Fallout Shelter".ĩ out of the 25 posts are from people who have lost their saved games.
